sport.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In The Official Basketball Court, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Physical Education Tips<\/a> will explain the issues related to the basketball court, such as the size of the basketball court, the height of the basketball basket, the 3-point line, the Bottleneck and the new updated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/en\/sports\/basketball\/\">basketball<\/a> court markings.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_big_is_the_basketball_court\"><\/span>How big is the basketball court?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The basketball court measures 28 meters long by 15 meters wide, measured from the inside edge of the lines. These are official <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cbb.com.br\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">CBB<\/a> and FIBA measurements <\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/quadra-basquetebol.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/quadra-basquetebol.png\" alt=\"The official basketball court measures 28 meters long by 15 meters wide.\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_surface_of_the_basketball_court\"><\/span>The surface of the basketball court<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The basketball court must be flat, hard and free of obstacles.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Lines_of_the_Basketball_Court\"><\/span>The Lines of the Basketball Court<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The lines on the basketball court are 5 centimetres wide and must be painted white.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Basketball_court_boundary_lines\"><\/span>Basketball court boundary lines<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/resumo-das-regras-oficiais-do-basquetebol-atualizadas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">basketball<\/a> court has four boundary lines, two side lines and two end or back lines. The boundary lines are not part of the playing court. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Any obstacle outside the playing court must be at least two meters away from the boundary lines.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Center_line_center_circle_and_free-throw_semicircles\"><\/span>Center line, center circle and free-throw semicircles<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The centre line is marked in the middle of the court parallel to the end lines and extends 15 centimetres beyond the side lines.<\/li>\n<li>The central circle is marked in the center of the court and has a radius of 1.8 meters.<\/li>\n<li>The free-throw semicircles have a radius of 1.80 meters measured from the midpoint of the free-throw line.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Free_Throw_Lines\"><\/span>The Free Throw Lines<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The free-throw line must be marked parallel to each end line (baseline). It must be 5.80 meters from the end line and have a length of 3.60 meters. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_Restricted_Area_Bottle\"><\/span>The Restricted Area (Bottle)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/os-fundamentos-do-basquetebol-resumidos\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Basketball<\/a> Restricted Area is a rectangular area, limited by the end lines, the free throw lines and their extension and by two side boundary lines 4.90 meters apart. These lines, excluding the end lines, form part of the restricted area. The inside of the restricted areas must be painted in a single color.  <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_3-point_line_on_the_basketball_court\"><\/span>The 3-point line on the basketball court<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Linha-de-3-pontos.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dicaseducacaofisica.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Linha-de-3-pontos-300x188.jpg\" alt=\"Basketball 3-point line\"><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 3-point line is an arc with a radius of 6.75 meters from the ground exactly at the midpoint under the basket. The 3-point line must be 90 centimeters from the sidelines. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 3-point line is not part of the 3-point basket area, i.e. if an athlete executes a shot by stepping over the 3-point line, it will not be considered a 3-point shot.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Team_bench_area\"><\/span>Team bench area<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team bench areas must be marked outside the playing court, limited by 2 lines 2 meters long from the side line of the court.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In each bench area there must be 14 seats available for members of a team who are not on the court: coaches, substitute players, excluded players and other members of the team&#8217;s coaching staff. Any other persons must remain at least 2 m behind the team bench. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_ball_replacement_lines\"><\/span>The ball replacement lines<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are 2 lines 15 centimetres long marked outside the playing court on the sideline opposite the control table, with their outer edge situated 8.325 metres from the inner edge of the nearest end line.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Offensive_no-load_semicircle_area\"><\/span>Offensive no-load semicircle area<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These are semicircles in which offensive charges will not be taken into account and must be marked on the playing court with their inner edge being 1.25 meters from the midpoint of the basket, projected onto the ground.
